K & N Install

Today I replaced my stock BMW air filter with a K&N. I'm amazed that the engine can breath properly through such a small induct and filter. My R100CS filter is twice the filter area at least. I'm hoping to achieve a bit more power and I'd like to hear from anyone using a K&N. I've also got a Z-Technik cat bypass and cans installed.
Spring is on the way...despite the snow and sleet we received Friday night! I can feel it!

The K&N will soon fill full of debris, the San Jose design is better all round

Yes, same as the stock unit I'm afraid. Oh well, I'll just have to check periodically and remove the large chunks. At least the K&N will breath easier.

also just fitted a k & N, then managed to buy a 2nd hand lenie induct also fitted very quickly with hot sweaty hands expecting the ride of my life, dissapointed? hell no, not having ridden the bike for 3 months turning on the key was a bonus! all the add on features no doubt help, but i just love r1100s/bcr experience.
not sure what the bhp at the back wheel should be but the feel good at the throttle grip says it all. just enjoy being different

Das Bike...you lucky bugger! I've been trying to locate a Lennies new or used for awhile and having no luck. I agree with you about the ride and being different!

Thanks Steve, never thought to check out Ebay UK. I'll have to think internationally from now on. If the seller is willing to ship to the US I will place a bid.

worth watching the induct on flea bay, mine was sourced from there, also 2nd hand offered the seller 200 folding ones buy it now, he just up road so saved on postage.
most "improvements" tend to shift very easily & for close to new prices, depends how desperate you are!

Bloke won't ship to the US. Had a bad experience. I'm begging him to let me bid.

Easily solved. Get him to post it to a UK Trixter and get them to post it on to you.....Providing they don't fit it to their own bike!
postman pat, has he been gunned down yet!
