Aye, getting older and was finding BCR a little too cramped for my 6'2" frame.
Bought the ABM (German) superbike handlebar conversion kit and footpeg lowering kit from Motorworks. Finally got it all put together and went out for a 50-mile jaunt earlier, completely changed an already great bike into something quite special. Happy boy

That looks like it should have come out the factory that way. Any down side to it? Do you need a taller screen?

Excellent stuff Rob, adjusting your bike to suit your requirements rather than selling a bike you enjoy and buying something else "square peg, round hole", Glad it now works for you Mate

Hello Dave, have to admit I haven't had the opportunity to cover serious distances yet but on the maiden test run I found the MRA screen c/w flip-up thingy seemed to do the job, no head buffeting etc.
Only downside is the throttle cable may have to be replaced with longer version, I removed the hard-pipe brake plumbing from both front & rear & replaced with purpose made lines from those nice people at HEL.
Thanks to everyone else for your kind comments.
Cheers, Rob

I think I posted on here a few years ago, Skidworx supplied me with a new screen , about 60mm longer than standard
This also has a slight kick up so help deflect air over the top .

Do you have a link to the kit you used please and how do you find the tank, knee , footpeg interface with the new setup? I have used Rapid dog barbacks in the past but currently just have lowered pegs and original clip ons . I think I'd have to do seat mods and peg relocation to be happier with higher bars.

https://www.bikermart.co.uk/products/AB ... w%20r1100sHi Nigel,
These nice people have the kit I used.
Got footpeg lowering kit from Motorworks.
My wife also rides an 1100S, her bike had the conversion a few years ago, I do find that the set-up on her bike not quite right for me, feels like I'm being pushed forward, the seat needs modifying. (The bike has Wilbers rear shock which is 20-25mm longer than original yellow shock).
The BCR is a taller bike, think I got lucky in that the new set-up feels just right for me.
Hope this helps,
Rob.

Thanks for the reply , just needs bars to suit me. I think also as you mention I would need to "level out " the seat .

Nice looking job. I know how you feel, I'm finding the leg position cramped as well so I am planning on getting the peg lowering kit from Motorworks.
I note that it says not suitable if a bellypan is fitted, without some modification. I can see that you don't have the bellypanfitted now, did you remove it to allow the lowering kit to fit? What sort of modification would be required?
Thanks
Dave

Hello Dave,
I'm not a big fan of bellypans (even on the BCR) so removed mine soon after buying the bike, (bellypan in the loft for safe keeping.)
Not sure what modifications are required to fit footpag lowering kit with bellypan in place, however, where's there's a will there's a way
Good luck,
Rob

I had a wunderlich footrest lowering fit on my 1100 and the belly pan was not as close fitting as the BCR one and it worked fine, GerryB had my old bike and I think he took them off, he may still have the kit. Gerry?

Found a picture so reposted, Wunderlich Lowering kit worked fine with this belly pan which is bigger than BCR one. .
