Hey - that's cool!!!
The colour on the pipes seems to exactly match the paint.

I'd forgotten about that (only 250miles on the bike in the pic) - As mentioned in another post, they don't look like that now due to excessive idling and sticking a jacket to one
I'll need to get the metal polish out!
cheers!

Thanks for that guys
No mods at all - I have two rear wheels, one with the Metzeler Z4 sports/touring tyre and one with the Metzeler Sportec M1 tyre. The M1 only lasted 2500miles
I recently got the Baglux harness to take one of their tankbags. The tankbag would appear to take a laptop, but once you clip it to the tank - it gets too out of shape for the laptop. I guess the shape of the tank isn't ideal
I wasn't a fan of Baglux harnesses, but saw that they do a BCR one and thought it looked okay.
The panniers are the standard BMW ones, but I took off the touring lids and put on a pair of colour-coded City lids (Got off Ebay for a snip).
Topbox is a Givi E46 with lid laquered in a kind of tungsten colour. Again off Ebay for a good price. I think it was a Blackbird colour?
So, for the summer touring - I think I will get away with the tankbag, city panniers, and either the topbox or the tailpack I have.
Topbox is good for stashing things when away from the bike, but the tailpack takes far more weight and sits further forward.

Al thanks for the info. I use an Oxford Tank bag & Tail Pack (silver coloured) on my 04 BCR - which is fine if you tour in the summer as I do (i.e do not need to pack many clothes).
How much is the Givi tank cover?
As for tyres I have given up using Sport Tecs as the rears lasted 2000 miles a peice. I am now on Road Tecs - which have been fine so far and are wearing down much slower!

I guess you mean "Baglux cover"?
It was £94 from http://www.1066customcycles.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_R_1100_S__FROM_1999_TO_2005__1451.html
which - when added to the bag cost, makes an expensive bag, but I think they are the best bags, and the system is clever.
Re: the tyres - yeah, it was a bit of an indulgance getting an extra wheel, but the plan is to use the M1 for all other use, and keep the Z4 for the long tours.
There is an outfit that does tankbags/mounts for the 1100s:
http://www.windingroads.co.uk/catalog/index.php
and have the fuel cap cut-out offset for the 1100s.
They are pretty good.
