My HP2 is on its way to an enthusiast in New Zealand..a decision I know I’ll regret. It’s been the pinnacle of my BMW ownership..Daytona Orange R90s, R100rs Rennsport, BOXERCUP REPLIKA and R1200s.

Looks lovely Mitch. Did it prove to be an astute financial investment, or just a great toy that didn't cost you too much to own?

Have you tried any of the 1250 shift cam BMWs? Whilst not as exotic as your former HP2, the grunt from that engine can't be too far off from HP 2 levels, I would have thought.

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks Paul, certainly no money lost and a great experience. They will only increase in value. I remember selling my mint Daytona Orange R90s for $6000 AUD to buy a block of land..today a good example is $30K. I haven't tried the new high tech bikes, the torque/hp figures are certainly impressive! A friend has just bought a GS1250 with bells and whistles $35K.

ABS, heated grips and the HP2 quick shift are as sophisticated as Ive got  My R1200 will do.
