Nice! Would be interested to hear about any recommended routes in Northern Spain - I'm going to be in the Picos for 4 days and Pyrenees/Aragon for 4 days in September.

I shelled out about a fiver, I think, last Spring for the RiDE magazine touring supplement. It contains lots of recommended routes and stops from a couple of days up to two weeks all over Europe. It's got a couple of suggestions for the Picos - I think a 4 day and 1 week itinary, as well as plenty of Pyrenees stuff. I used this guide to help plan a route taking in the Pyrenees, National Parc de Cevennes, Tarn Gorge, Ardeche Gorge, Grand Canyon du Verdon and the Route des Grand Alpes last year. Helped to make it a brilliant trip. Highly recommended.

Funnily enough I downloaded the Spain Ride routes thing for my iPad - I've ridden quite a few already, and they've all been good.
We rode past those huge stone pillars last year. That was somewhere between Huesca and Pamplona, I seem to recall. Lovely dramatic canyon section after that - looking forward to heading back that way this year.
