Hi Phil,
when I took my shots it was around -2 celsius. Windchill maybe -6 ...
About the photo in Moscow ... I suppose it was around -10 celsius and it was kind of a snowstorm ... difficult to see on the photo. But that white stuff was everywhere and my driver and I were equally amazed that someone had the guts to riding a bike in those conditions.
Cheers
Oliver

Didn't drop it ever. F650 Funduro's make great snow bikes because of their soft single power delivery which finds traction, and the seat heights not bad so dabbing feet down is not too far to reach.
I can only hope my F8GS will be as good.... although the seat heights a bit too lofty to be honest

Your sat nav seems to be faulty. It's showing sand, whereas the actual conditions are clearly snow.

Winter ride here on the highveld in South Africa. If you look REALLY carefully, you will see zebra just above the fuel in the distance, and if you squint even more, some springbuck in the veld above the seat.
