Just back from a damp weekend in Wales.

Caught the Stena fast ferry from Dun Laoghaire on Friday lunchtime after a fast and pleasant 3 hr ride across sunny Ireland, arriving Holyhead at 3.45.
Managed to whizz off the ferry first ensuring a clear road ahead closely pursued by a very determined GS rider who I managed to shake off on the A5. Arrived at a drizzly Betty Coed where I had a garret in the attic of the Swallow Falls hotel, oddly enough the same room I was in two years previously. The rain came down shortly after my arrival and didn't stop for about 16 hrs. Anyway not many pics of Saturday due to the precipitation.

Loose translation is Taffys secondhand car sales in LFPG, dunno what happened to the commas, must have been nicked.

Dry all the way home yesterday and 780 miles on the clock.

Nice pictures eyore, and reminds me I haven't been to that part of the world for a few years. I should get myself over there.

The Swallow Falls looks good, at least from the outside. I can't remember the name of the place we stayed last time. We took a young Texan friend who had never seen the sea, mountains, castles or flown a kite. So we did all of them first day.

Then there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night so we spend a fun (not) half hour standing in our jammies on a very frosty night. But at least that ticked another box; she'd never seen frost before either.

Thanks for pictures, and I like the white stripes (the band and the ones on your bike).

Thanks. The Swallow Falls is only ok, its main benefits being location and the fact that it has hotel, hostel and camping all on one location, but there is plenty of choice in Betwys Y Coed.
