Took some pics yesterday. Found an 1100S race bike, plus a few other nice BMWs, including the Roland Sands bike.

Nice pictures. The R11S racer looks great in those colours. I think that and the K100 might be owned by BMW as I've seen them on display at a BM dealers 'open day' somewhere 'dawn sarf'. I think (might be wrong though) they are/were both pukka racing bikes (rather than road bikes painted up for PR purposes).

Yes, both race spec. Ironically, the 1100S, despite being in race trim, is a lower spec than my bike! It runs the longer shocks, Laser exhausts, and lightweight bodywork. No ABS though.

The K looked really smart, and had loads of really lovely carbon bits on it.

the best I can - I only took pics at Garmisch of the old BMs there. The route was best experienced if you had sat nav (which I don't) and the planned routes were on back roads with limited petrol stations but when I get sorted I'll try and post the pics (I haven't been too successful with pics either!!!)

I thought they were rather expensive, personally! They do look good though. Pity they don't appear to come with metal inserts though.
