Cheeky - I quite like the bread bin can. I'll be changing it in the Spring probably but not sure what with yet...£1000 for an exhaust...are you kidding!

Zard if they looked better built
Still toying with possible HPE, BOS, who knows...

If you decide your stand is rubbish, sell it to me at an incredibly low 2/h price and buy yourself a shiny new one from BMW hehe

Now to find a decent local powder coater for me wheels

The stand is staying..don't fret about that. I'll be watching what cans you chaps fit and see how you get on I think.

I'm pretty sure the Remus down pipes will go on in the Spring as they are compatible with all the cans anyway.

With the state my pipes look at the minute it'd break my heart to spend £1700 and cover them in kak!

As if I'm gonna spend nearly a grand on an end can which according to the makers graphs produces less power than the std bread bin!!! As I have said before its dumping the cat that really makes a difference. The Remus importer over in the US even admits as much-- End can only changes the noise.

If you still have the cat I'll agree with that statement, If you have the full system then that is a different matter, Just a LARGE sum for minimal gains. IMHO of course

Not quite as accurate as you may think Pete.

I'll give you that the cat replacement pipe tends to release more than a can, however the Akra end can does give a gain, albeit a small one, as do the majority on sale at the moment (OK, generally approx 1.5 to 2.5 bhp!).

The Akra full system is quoted as giving 6.5, the BOS system similar, as with Zard. The HPE can alone gives a slight increase also.

PB,
£1000 for maybe 2.5 BHP which I doubt that you would notice apart from the sounds faster issue. I think I'll just go on a diet and remain in stealth mode!! I do remember one 1100s which sounded V fast but when it came to crunch time was in fact 20mph slower than others going through some timing lights!!

Not arguing there Pete, just saying there is a gain to be had, however poor.
Must admit Im thinking of just teh downpipes for starters but despite the ZArd perceived build quality I do think I'll punt for one. Still bloody £850 quid tho

Look back at the 1100s though, many people spent not so far off that amount and the majority of the 1100s's we know of have zausts fitted

Paul,
Generally I do have to agree with you, Do feel though that all 1200s aftermarket bits are well overpriced, Limited market and suchlike but nearly a grand for an end can (with BMWs approval so lets double the price) is a bit over the top as far as I'm concerned!!

Guys, early adopters always pay a premium, the trick is to bide your time and get to know your new steeds, before shelling out full list on what may not be fully sorted aftermarket go faster goodies. Perhaps it's better to let others be the guinea pigs who determine what works and what needs more development time.
