Made what is becoming a annual trip to the Scottish Highlands at the end of June had mixed but pleasant weather.

Ah brilliant. I went up there for the first time last year, on the R12S. Amazing views.

I heard that George Brough's (of Brough Superior) ashes were scattered up there because it was his favourite road.

We saw a guy on a brand new Tracer do a 3-point turn at one of the hair-pins near the top. It turns out he'd just passed his test, picked up the bike a few days before and set off to tour Scotland. That's the spirit.

Then in the evening, our landlady told us her husband used to deliver fuel oil to Applecross by driving his tanker up that road. Serious respect.

Yes it is Sandy still running without a hitch at 27,000. riding just for pleasure and most of the miles get added on with these trips/tours of the Highlands covered around 2500 miles this year around the west coast such a beautiful place and i've been really lucky with the weather. How's the 1200s hope your still enjoying riding

To right respect for anyone that has to drive any large vehicle around the single tracks of the Highlands

the 1200s is going great thanks and still enjoying it, but if touring is your thing then you are probably best off with the 1100s with its better load carrying and higher screen
