The new front page and rest of site

For pity's sake PLEASE lose the blue on blue text!! 
it looks awful and is hard to read.
I know this is someone's baby and therefore hope I"m not being too offensive, but from a user viewpoint it's a major turn-off.
can I suggest either black on a slightly lighter blue, or white on a slightly darker blue - you need to increase the contrast.
Same goes for the text on the menu.
