seem to be rocking horse pooh - I got a used one from the bay a few years back at a good price but I think I was VERY lucky. Seem to be plenty new ones but still want top dollar for something that fits a bike that hasn't been made since 2008!!

Is there any reason that a hugger for any R1200 model of the same generation wouldn't fit, including R1200R etc?

I think all from that generation should fit - certainly the Ilmberger huggers all appear to use the 3 bolt fixing onto the final drive. Having said that I did look at a German site (motorcycle accessories, before anyone gets the wrong idea!!!) and I think there was 2 different part numbers. I searched when I got in from work this morning and plenty selling Ilmberger but still costing approx. £260/70

unfortunately Ilmberger seem to hold their price and not many used ones about - maybe a better investment than a cash ISA!!!

I've just had a look at Pyramid plastic's site (I have one of their carbon huggers on my BCR and it looks ok) but their's just doesn't look attractive and still over £100 for a plastic version

This one has been on Gumtree in Aus since last year. The market over here is so skinny for these bikes, it may never sell. Make an offer!

Are you still after one? If so, I have an Ilmberger one that I don't need and would be happy to sell on.
