BCR For Sale NOW SOLD

After a lot of soul searching, I have decided to sell my BCR. I bought this bike 2 years ago and since then it has been in my garage whilst I have spent a considerable amount of time and money, improving its condition from what it was to where I think it should be.


History
The bike was originally bought by a guy in Glasgow (from BMW Glasgow) but apparently it was not what he was looking for so he sold it back to the dealer, 6 months old and with barely 1,500 miles on the clock.

Another Scottish chap bought it but did very little riding and sold it to a guy in Kidderminster in 2012 with 3,000 miles on it.

I bought the bike from this chap in 2014, with 5,310 miles on it.

The Bike
Genuine low mileage (5,000 miles) currently stored in a heated garage. The following new equipment has been added by me:
•New front mudguard (carbon fibre)
•New rear hugger (carbon fibre)
•New Michelin tyres (zero miles)
•New Goodridge brake lines
•New exhaust gaskets and bolts (genuine BMW parts)
•New left front indicator housing (old one slightly scratched)
•New Boxercup fairing sticker (old one slightly marked)
•New heel guards (carbon fibre)

In addition:
•Rear sub frame shot blasted and repainted
•Front forks, rubbed down and repainted
•Rear seat cowl repainted
•Bellypan - repainted and with new stickers
•Thorough cleaning of all parts during re-assembly.

The bike will come with 12 months MOT.

The following items are also included in the price:

+ Genuine BMW panniers and mounting brackets
+ Genuine BMW tank bag
+ Full bike cover

•Performance ECU chip. Bought from a Boxertrix member but never fitted.

Immaculate! Is that a Lazer exhaust...not seen them with large collector box?

Yes, it's a Laser exhaust. I'm not aware of it being anything other than original.

That one - is about as nice as they get.

Bog-standard, ultra-low miles.

I'd be inclined to sell the panniers/rails separately - as that bike will be spoiled by touring, I feel.

For once I seem to agree with Al, the bike needs to be seen without panniers.

It would be worth joining UKGSER, if you are not already and place it for sale on there.

There are a lot of folk on that site with money and looking for something as nice as your BCR.

So hang on a minute. You bought the bike in 2014 with 5310 miles on it? So according to the odo reading in the photo you have done 10 miles on it in 2 years

No wonder its bloody clean

Sadly, yes. Only 10 miles in 2 years because for most of the time it has been in bits. I started by thinking that the rear subframe needed cleaning, however that developed into a full strip down and it being sent to a local place (run by a vintage bike fanatic) for shot blasting and recoating (only £50). then it was exhaust system off and full clean .... you know how these things develop.

The bike has been sold, however the new owner declined the additional items (apart from the battery charger) so they are still for sale. I will list them in another thread with prices, if anyone is interested.
