Hi folks,
Just recently picked up a R1200S and there’s a couple of parts I need/want. Firstly a RHS mirror unit. Doesn’t matter if it’s missing the glass and indicator. My stem had a chunk missing out of the end above the bit that attaches to the fairing
Also I’d like (but don’t need ) a rear seat cowl in silver. Hens teeth I know but it’s worth asking.

There’s 2 silver variations, the shiny one from the “Colgate” red/silver, and the Matt silver which iirc is white aluminium.

I did not know that. In that case it’s the shiny ‘Colgate’ one I’m after.

Re: R12S parts wanted
I searched for ages for mirror stalks but gave up in the end, so good luck! Oddly, mine was a Colgate & the lower corner was missing.... Now on my 3rd R12S !

Aren't mirrors common to a few models ? K1200 IIRC ?

Turns out they’re not as I’ve found to my cost. They look identical and I bought a mirror from a K1200 via eBay this week but the part that attaches to the fairing i.e. the section where the screws go is ever so slightly a different shape to the R1200S. Typical
I’ll put that back up on eBay at some point in the near future. In the meantime the search continues. Got myself a seat cowl though . It’s black and my intention was to get it painted silver or wrap it however I quite like the gloss black.

I purchased the Tail unit for the Magma-Red/titan-silver (71607696570) direct form KFM in Germany and disappointingly it was Matt Silver. The invoice and the Tail unit have the right part number marked ... go figure! I ended up getting it clear-coated locally, which matches quite well now.
The Weiss-aluminium 3 metallic Matt is part number (71607696568).
