Looked on parts - is this what you need? listed as "Shifting roll"
part no.23217675172 - £247.01
If you haven't tried, might be worth ringing usual culprits - I don't suppose they get asked for them that often and would probably prefer to sell the complete unit. Good luck

Yep that's the one. £250 for a new one, that's silly money, and aboit 70 for a second hand one with motorworks seriously skint this week so was hoping to get one cheaper.
Already spent £60 on new bearings and am desperate to get the bike back on the road. It's not an essential for the rebuild at the moment, but would make sense to replace it now rather than strip the box again at a later date.

yep makes sense - some really cheap ones in states but by the time postage is factored in and insurance it's as cheap (or expensive) to buy new. At least new you know what you're getting. If you decide to wait a few weeks and get new, they can usually get them in within a week. Maybe order now and by the time it's there pay day has come around. these here bikes cost money - even the new ones!!!!

In urgent need if it for Friday, as don't any other bikes on the road due to crashing my ducati so bit the bullet and got one from motorworks. Box being rebuild tomorrow, do hopefully be back on the road by the weekend. Total cost was £130 for all the bearings seals and a Guaranteed second hand drum. Certainly beats a grand for a recon box. It's good when you can do all the work yourself with a little help from a specialist(cost - a bottle of scotch)
