Wanted: r1100s Footrest lowering kit

Postby 626barry » Wed Sep 23, 2015 5:08 pm

Hi

I'm after a footrest lowering kit for my r1100s as I'm determined to make it more comfy rather than sell. If anyone out there has a kit surplus to requirement I'd be very interested.

Cheers

Thanks for that Steve if I go down the new route I'd prefer the lowering kit from Motorworks @ £100.80 just though I might drop lucky with a used set.

I have fitted a kit from Wunderlich which is similar to the kit from motorworks, it lowers the pegs 40mm, I often scrape my boots on the road, the motorworks kit lowers pegs 50mm, it might cause a problem. Also if you have a belly pan fitted you may have problems fitting kit.

Thanks for that Al, I do have a belly pan fitted so it might be a case of putting up with the cramps or stopping more often. Or buying a set & modifying them.

The wunderlich kit fits with the boxercup replica type bellypan, not sure about the other types. the 40mm drop definitely improves the comfort for me, along with the bars raised above the yokes.
