Well its done a number of trips to France and Belgium, I fitted the GPS this year for a 3 day trip to WW1 sites. The handling is not as quick as the S, but always seems planted. The tank capacity is 29lts which make it ideal for france.

My oil vent relocation operation has worked. At first I didn't think it had, due to the fact I had to add ½l of oil on my Eifel trip last week, but today and 500km later it was almost on top, whereas I had filled to midpoint.

Quick math shows I used approximately 125cc of oil ...

Today I manage to remove the sized LH clamp, after two days of drilling, grinding, lots of heat, a wedge and a big hammer. A right pain of a job.

Due to work have not manage a revisit to the offending LH exhaust clamp, but will hopefully later in the week.

I have been looking to remove the whole system as suggested, but can not help thinking (that can be dangerous) that this may lead to broken studs on the LH cylinder head.
