The Zumo 550 is ideal for the bike, big buttons allow zooming etc on the move, and mapping via Northing/Easting couple with Google overlays.

Overal good package.

Thanks for that, the Zumo is spring loaded so that it sits off the brackets and reduces vibrations.

Well its done a number of trips to France and Belgium, I fitted the GPS this year for a 3 day trip to WW1 sites. The handling is not as quick as the S, but always seems planted. The tank capacity is 29lts which make it ideal for france.

Throttlemeister Hi My oil vent relocation operation has worked. At first I didn't think it had, due to the fact I had to add ½l of oil on my Eifel trip last week, but today and 500km later it was almost on top, whereas I had filled to midpoint. Quick math shows I used approximately 125cc of oil in o...

Hi

Due to work have not manage a revisit to the offending LH exhaust clamp, but will hopefully later in the week.

I have been looking to remove the whole system as suggested, but can not help thinking (that can be dangerous) that this may lead to broken studs on the LH cylinder head.
