Hi Robert, apologies for the rather late input but never the less, I had a Moto Guzzi years ago that had a similar problem which I bought the bike with(Guzzi's also have a dry clutch like the BMW) , the previous owner had laid the bike up for the winter and subsequently found that he could not disen...

Halfords
Hi Scotty,
Maybe not the Hi Tech approach, but I bought my replacement from Halfords, I went for the 30% brighter variety, can't remember the bulb type but it is an off the shelf item.
Cheers

Bike movers
Please can anyone recommend a mover.
I'm moving from Bristol to Morayshire, Scotland and need a service that will deliver my R1100S and R850R. I see lots of ads on the net but would much prefer a recommended service to trust my bikes to. Looking to move end Nov.
Thanks

A change
Hi Mark,
Not sure if Nige is going next year, I'm planning something different for next year not sure what yet, but hoping for a trip to Europe at least. Not that I realised at the time but we certainly hit the weather well for the TT when you look at what is falling now.
Regards

Socket and holding tool
Sproggy
I have a holding device, similar to BMW tool, that I made when I removed my own ball joints, also have socket to fit ( 1" drive), used the years of experience and grunt method of torque application. If I can be of assistance please drop me a line.

TK Max
I picked one up recently from the local TK Max, special compartment for laptop and airflow back panel, made by Jeep, they had a few designs varying from about £20 to £30, don't be put off by the price as I would say they are as good as the kreiga stuff but without the base jumper look.

Shaun, Thanks for the help, if I can purchase a simple device to reset and code read, primarily on the BMW then that will do, if it will read other cars then that will be a bonus, I do not see myself digging around the wiring of the car anymore than any non type specific garage, mostly identify and ...
