Q1 has 59mb fixed memory, not a whole lot and quite limiting. Q2 does not have that limitation, but like the Q1 it has a pretty small screen. THey do run on batteries and for quite a long time. Err, the above isn't quite right. Quest 1 has 243Mb of internal memory, plenty for most requirements. It ...

Got the new replacement parts cost today... £600ish  so removed the aesthetic damage only... £400ish   so removed the things that can be persuaded back into their rightful shape with a twatting implement... £300ish - I can live with that. It's not much more than my insurance excess an...

Thank for the replies. Yep running solo. Riding buddy is a copper and I think he phoned it in while I checked the bike over but as for prosecuting the farmer, chances are slim. Anyway, the bike can still be ridden as it's mainly cosmetic and like you say I walked away. My reality check is having two...

Another one bites the dust...
Hello people, long time no post (new job and various other excuses). Anyway, this morning I had the pleasure of dumping my bike on it's left hand side due to farmer giles liberally coating the whole road on a left hander with oil (not diesel as far as we could tell though). As I approached it just l...

Legal principles are what makes solicitors, barristers and the like wealthy and I for one don't want to support that. Adam :) Fair enough. Let's just hope your never in a position where you're reliant on one to represent you. I was. It cost me a fortune on top of the fine. I still got banned. I won...

Legal principles are what makes solicitors, barristers and the like wealthy and I for one don't want to support that. If it was a grey area I might agree but it's fairly black and white, either you were speeding or you weren't. You'll most likely know if you were and will either: 1. Plead guilty, ta...

This opens up the debate further in that some Forces were thinking of having the speed cameras set to the limit on that road and not with a bit added on for inaccuracy of vehicle speedometers. Therefore, you could be driving along at say 50mph by your speedo but in fact could be nicked for breaking...

IF you put it that way, then it seems almost reasonable......right up to the point that you are convicted of speeding. No, it would still be reasonable if I got nicked for speeding. I've set off numerous speed cameras on the bike when exceeding the speed limit (front facing, personal race track etc...

Apart from the title where is this new ruling that says you are guilty until proven innocent? You can still plead not guilty. Unfortunately, despite what you may like to think, speed cameras are pretty accurate pieces of kit and when they're set higher than the speed limit to allow for speedo error ...

MCN are asking the government to freeze all motorcycle speeding fines until the equipment has been tested and approved but why? Has there been a spate of motorcyclists nicked for speeding when in fact they were well within the speed limit? I doubt it. Seems like knee jerk journalism to me and to the...

Seems fairly straght forward to me. You ride in and ask them to fit a mismatched tyre that will leave them legally exposed and they refuse. However, they offer to fit either a matched tyre (not ideal in this weather but still a legally safe option for them) or a matched pair of 020's both of which y...
