Hello again

Hi All. sorry to have not contributed for a while and hello to old pals. I lost my wife a couple of years back and it knocked me for six. Taken ages to get my bearings. I have lost all my confidence and haven't been near my bikes for a coupla years. The r1100s is still on a hoist in my garage from w...

I have this same set up - It's actually Archie's old Stainetune 'zaust - which fitted without any problems or cuts.

It's run fine for a couple of years with no issues.......keep the dremmel in reserve.

Bloody Alarm!!

My mate came round last Saturday at 8:00 so we could zip down the Ace for grease and look for a bike for him - he's besotted by the 748s. I've told him the pots are in the wrong place but he's all emotional. Trouble is Dukes are usually accompanied in dealers by MV's...and I like the Brutale...be in...

That's terrible news!

I found him a really nice guy with great humour. He'll be missed by all that knew him.

James, please pass on all our thoughts and best wishes to your family. You show admirable fortitude in making this posting.

If you move the bars above the yoke - the odds are that you will need new longer hoses if you have a non-ABS bike. I've a set of Bar Backs and they are an excellent bit of kit but you get a bit of an unsightly tang showing (anti-rotation device sort of thingy) They aren't in keeping with the looks o...

Hey MaineRoads, thanks for that link. It is possible to get the mounts from BMW in the UK but here they charge us in £'s what you guys pay in Euro's or $'s. This does happen with practically everything sold over here. Anyway those diagrams may give us a chance to fabricate mounts - who wants to pay ...

I've got the nautilus and it stops trains / knocks birds out of the sky it's so loud. [smilie=mutley laugh.gif] They warn not to trigger in an enclosed space like a garage - gives you some idea of volume. You'll need to use heavy wire and relay direct from the battery tho' as it uses so much power. ...

Ok - let's clarify my query then. I'm mindful that 1080p can only be optimal when receiving 1080p signal from HDDVD or BlueRay - So as I mainly watch movies rather than eastenders and would therefore upgrade to a 1080p player : - what's the best large screen (50"+) tv for action movies that wou...

LCD vs Plasma? - Which Brand's Best?

Had interesting debate with a pal on way back from the bike show in that london last week. I said I was interested in getting a humungous LCD and that the Sony's were getting towards a reasonable price. He responded that afficondo's should target Plasma for the black handling and action, and that So...
