Decisions, decisions [smilie=thinking about.gif] Think the 'S' would edge it for me - not as quick on the mountain straights but an absolute riot through the bends & great for upsetting the Gixxer brigade  Think it's nice to be on something a bit different / quirky too (even though the ...

It's nowt to do with power when a bike siezes is it mate. And Finnegan crashed the 600 after winnibg the superbike race. Good point well made Paul, but Dunlop's 250 was doing in excess of 160mph on a narrow country road with hard road furniture when it seized, and Finnegan was just as much at risk ...

Had the pleasure of watching both men race at the Cookstown 100 in Northern Ireland just three weeks ago - absolutely awesome to watch & a tragic loss to racing. Perhaps the bikes are getting too powerful for the roads? Joey Dunlop suggested the same himself 30 years ago! The other racers must b...

Check your sprockets Greg - the gearing may have been altered to increase acceleration / improve smooth riding round town (very popular mod). This would make your speedo over-read.

Glad you're enjoying it,

Prolly just needs a good service (including fuel filter & plugs). Battery possibly on it's way out aswell. Oh, and you might want to check the infamous brown connector behind the coolant bottle (cheap & easy fix, how-to guide is on apriliaforum.com). Spoonz on RSVR.net is very helpful / know...

Well done Greg - you're obviously a man of great taste  Just to clear up the confusion - pre 2004 you had the RSV 1000 Mille & Mille 'R', and post 2004 (new shape) you've got the RSVR 1000 & RSVR 1000 Factory. IMHO the Factory is not worth the extra wonga, but it's nice to say you've g...

Had a road-legal Powerflow on my Fazer (non-removable baffle). Not bad value, but it scratched very easily & sounded the same as stock. I swapped it for a Remus Revolution. Quill are one of the few manufacturers to do aftermarket cans for Buells, but feedback on the UKBEG site is less than posit...

Been there, done that, just like the others!

My solution was a carefully placed sticker (yes, that old chestnut!) and a very thin strip of black tape. Covered the damage nicely & wasn't picked up when I part-exed the bike.

Well said, Gus. The database is a guide, not a bible. It is not infallible. If they seize your vehicle because it's not on the database, get your solicitor involved forthwith.
