Clive
Take it to Tredworth Motorcycles in Gloucester. Sensible ex-grass track person runs it.
Firm but fair on noise as long as it's not an obvious police magnet.

He does all mine - including the supermoto

We get the same thing on our family's BMs. I think it's that "colostomy bladder" in the tank letting go every now and then.
Nothing to get worried about...probably.

When removing the original front disk bolts I gently heated them up with a blow torch to soften the lock tight. Once removed I ran a tap down the treads to remove the excess lock tight - there was plenty. Then fitted the SS bolts without a problem although cannot remember if I used lock tight on th...

Mine had poorly stamped socket heads too, I had to use torx keys on them to get a good fit. I was concerned enough to put paint stripes on the heads after, in case they move. Mine are still in but they are on remand. "A2 is not recommended as a substitute for high tensile" as other ads say...

Integral ABS brown pants moment

I had the famous servo brake fail this afternoon. Red lights on the dash and servo cutting in and out randomly. When I got home I thought I'd run through the start up again on my drive then welly on the brakes as they now seemed ok again. Anyhow, to cut the story, I ran into the back of my other bik...

That rear calliper slides on two pins, as your pistons are on one side only. Always pays to grease these pins a little bit. If the pins rust the brake gets grabby and the pad on the piston side wears out ahead of the other "fixed" side.

I took both stoppers off mine and replaced them with a single length of local homebrew shop clear siphoning tube joining the two.
Now I can see when its filling and just pull one end off to drain both.

That's right, but my missus had no probs adding me as named rider to her ebike f650 and virago (why the hell...?) policy cos I was already with them.
I reckon it's a bit of a sales pitch to get your mates on to ebike, but it was convenient for us, so we played the game.

When I added my "S" to my existing "RS" ebike policy I thought it would hike it up. I was genuinely impressed when the calculated premium increase was £00.00. I already have a KTM on there too, so for all three I'm paying £158 tpf&t. That's exactly the same as I used to pay a...

There's Brembo and Tokico calipers too. They look similar from a distance but there are differences, though they are interchangeable except the pads. The Jap ones seem to rot quicker for one thing. I have a pair of very nice tidy Tokicos complete that I would sell each for the price of a seal kit. B...

Thanks Nigel.
I think I'll try the DIY option first, the bikes only worth a tenner.
