I think these two used to work at the small BMW dealership in Stroud that closed.

Same here - perhaps a security certificate has expired. Does anyone know how to contact Paul?

Re: R1200S Misfire troubleshooting - Bristol
Well, the main earth point was a challenge to 'service' without removing the tank! Good enough tho' until I have it all apart one day. Definitely improved matters - fingers crossed that my misfires have gone...
Thanks for the suggestions

Re: R1200S Misfire troubleshooting - Bristol
Thanks - right on track as I'm getting that first stab click from the starter, then all ok on the second go (new battery made no difference). I started up with 1 plug per side this evening, then the other two plugs and it's running perfectly like that and (not surprisingly) with all 4. Earth connect...

Re: R1200S Misfire troubleshooting - Bristol
Thanks Humbug. Yes, I wasn't thinking clearly about the 2 plugs per cylinder being harder than one! Valve clearances are ok - the misfire is very abrupt, hence my strong feeling that it's electrical. Will also check all earthing points for corrosion, especially the ECU.

R1200S Misfire troubleshooting - Bristol
2 plugs per cylinder is a bit of a pain to diagnose when you've got a misfire! Thought I'd sorted it with new plugs - possibly only one needed - but it's back after 1 ride, so I'm thinking coil pack... It's only done 11500mls, so can it really have a failure(s)? I'd like to find a local repair place...

+1 for the Road 5s on mine too. Turns nicely and feel good.
I fancied Metzeler Roadtec 01SE to replace my equally aged Conti Sport Attacks that it came with last year but were out of stock at the time. The Road 5 looks very similar.

Re: Powdercoating
I picked up my 12S wheels today - powder coated & lacquered by Steve at TPCS (as above) and will be having tyres fitted on Friday. I'll let you know what my friendly mobile tyre fitter says about them...

Re: R1200S phone mount?
All done - M8 tapped into the Helibar + a stubby bracket with an Aluminium, 3D-printed round section put my existing cheapie bar-mount for the phone in exactly the right place. I'd bung a photo here but I can't make any 'small' enough! Thanks for all the useful suggestions. Update... PXL_20210804_17...

Ah, nice idea as the bar end is in clear space. Pic would be great to confirm I'm on the same track...
