ABS-ectomy
ABS-ectomy. So as I have now got the dreaded ABS problem, which can't be fixed apparently, I am considering having the system taken out. I have seen that lots of owners have already done this but I have a question :- When you went back to your insurers to declare a 'modification', what reaction did ...

Oil filter removal
Hi all,
hope someone can help?
I have recently bought a R1100s (2004) and want to change the oil but need to know what size tool I need to buy to remove the filter.
Looked online and several different sizes ( 68mm / 76mm etc) are mentioned.
Which size do I need please?
Thanks

Re: Strange handling
I am pretty confident that this will be the ball joint on the front wishbone. The go dry and stiff with age and time. I had exactly the same issue with an R1100S. How do you rectify this? I have just bought an R1100s for commuting and have to say that the steering does seem strange compared to my T...

Re: Shock advice
After picking up my R1100s today and getting it home I put it on the centre stand and found that the back wheel was still actually on the ground and couldn't be rotated. Also it felt a little like the bike was going to roll forward off the stand too!! I got a thin piece of board and placed it under ...

Newbie
Hi all, picked up my 2004 R1100s today.
I actually owned a R1200S some years ago so am a bit familiar with the type anyway.
No doubt I will have some questions to ask you all soon, so I hope you have some good answers for me!
BTW, I'm in Lincolnshire.
Regards to you all.
