Re: I bought a bike from an auction!
Actually it now gives me a problem, because I like riding it more than my R11S now that I have fitted higher bars.
Mainly a weight thing though - as I advance into the fringes of old age.
Indeed, my thoughts exactly. I loved my R1100s but they are a big lump and now I'm a rather feeble 60 odd ...

I bought a bike from an auction!
Obviously this is my findings yours may be different but I thought it was worth sharing...
A bike recently caught my eye on eBay. It was being sold through PAP Auction Group. As the name implies its an auction company. I was a little bit dubious even after 30+ years of buying motorcycles from main ...

Thanks Mitch, fair point. Still not decided about the bike

Re: A spot of advice please...
Many thanks, for your input, you are both 100% right of course maybe I'm just panicking a bit at the thought of a new clutch. Must say I am very impressed with 120k on the original clutch, a credit to your riding.
Anyhow thanks once again, regards Marsh

A spot of advice please...
Hi all, I'm looking at a 1998 R1100s full service history with 58000 on the clock. My question is, could it be getting near a new clutch time? I know it depends on how its been ridden. It looks and reads like a good one. Its at the top end of my budget so... do I hang on to my monies a bit longer ...
