Great to see you all and thanks to Reg for chauffeuring. For me it felt a little like winding the years back to the early days of Boxertrix, although now my bike has gone! And I can no longer partake in the lardfest that is a “Jacks breakfast”

Time to hang up the helmet and leathers for good, not by choice either. I was diagnosed with Cancer in Dec 16 and its progression has been quite rapid.
I did manage to get out on it for a couple of quick blasts earlier on in the year, but now it is obvious to me that I am neither fit enough or ...

I don't understand anyone skimping on oil.
It's the life blood of the engine, and it's most important component ffs.
It only get's changed once, maybe twice a year, but yet people still go online and buy the cheap recycled aviation stuff.
Not worth it.
Buy a good quality branded oil, so you know ...

Smootherite silver is what i used. I did fork legs and brace with 1 can and then a couple of coats of clear lacquer.

Quite straight forward in the end, 12 wires all black from the alarm, but easy to pair up in the loom. Just took a couple of hours and a few crimps.

After 15 years of faultless service, my Spyball patriot has expired and refuses to sound the alarm and disarm the immobiliser with either key fobs.
The batteries are only 12 months old (the last ones lasted 14 years) so the assumption is that the unit has failed.

I can however disarm it by using ...

I'll be fascinated to see how it all turns out. Luckily our trusty Passat diesel predates the emissions thing, and you can bet that the worlds politicians will milk it for all the fines they can levy.

But I do wonder how many people buy a car on the official statistics? Please tell me most people ...

The ones I have "found" in our stores are 140mm deep but 125mm OD,
so a little oversize, but the price would have been right
