Re: Meet....Bumble!

Yes I guess it's your bike Mike. I was wondering about the story behind the black faces - did you change them? Did you also run the grease line to the swing-arm bushes?[/quote] I never got on with the yellow and black dial faces, so I designed my own in a more classic style. You should have got the ...

Re: Meet....Bumble!

That looks very much like my old bike ... If it has plain black on white instrument faces, it definitely is. I just bought this yesterday. Kids have already nick-named it Bumble for obvious reasons. The engine and box are nicer than the other one and it rides and stops better too. Got a couple of sm...

No, not giving up completely - too addicted for that!

Staying with BMW and going over to the darkside of 4 cylinders and water cooled - a K1300S which might prove a good exercise in self-restraint if I want to keep my license

Time for a change

Well after 10 great years, it's time for a change. 1100S has gone and all the bits and pieces that have been added over the years are in the For Sale section. I may well regret it and miss the boxer thump, but only time will tell. Although I haven't been a prolific poster :( this has been a great fo...

mileage is 38k. Looking at video from this year and last years trips, it obvious now that its been gradually getting worse, but as its gradual, I hadn't noticed it. I thought that 2004 bikes were safe from the chocolate splines. What is the mileage if you dont mind my asking? Sorry it happened mate,...

The dreaded gearbox main shaft failure ...

Coming back from the Dolomites this year and enjoying the roads on the roads on the France/German border when ... http://youtu.be/Gaw2apESPvM ... made it home with as little gearchanging as possible, although filtering on the M25 was not much fun. No, I've done my own black faces but with white lettering rather than yellow http://i1050.photobucket.com/albums/s414/mikek7/faces2_zpscd597084.jpg No KPH marking, just simple, classic aviator style. I'll try reversing the colours and see what it looks like. edit ... a bit like this ... http://i1050...

Short answer is - not yet.
I'm just waiting for a new set of dial faces to arrive so I can do the whole lot together. Trouble is that I'm off touring on it in Europe is a couple of weeks, so it might have to wait until I get back.

MotoGP on German satellite channel

If any of you have a satellite receiver and pick up Astra 1 (19.2E) , MotoGP is free to view on Sport 1 (frequency 12480 V SR 27500)
OK, its in German, but its better than nothing. Currently showing qualifying.

edit
sorry, didn't see that Phil Thomas had already spotted this
