Ok thanks, but strut looks identical to mine. I was under the impression that the shorter struts did not look like origional equipment. I'll check it by length next time I see it.

Nope, standard strut fitted. I'll have to have a dig around next time she comes up here on it. Although it doesn't effect the handling at all it worries me.

I noticed that the bevel box and propshaft remain in line with each other regardless of whether the bike is on its stand or had someone on board. The only advice I can add is the Haynes manual covers this well and as said, it's a long careful job. I would suggest whether you need a new slave cylinder or not empty the crap out that gathers between the clutch cable and it's outer sleeve. Coat the connecter at the slave end with a gasket sealant...

Hi, my S has done 90k miles, always on reg unleaded without a hitch. If super is making a difference I am at a loss. The only time mine ever got any excessive vib/rough running was at about your mileage and it was the valves. Sorted them and not had to touch them since. But check the balance first. ...
