Re: R1100S screens
Must say, it does change the airflow quite a bit. But not as much as a 1200rt.

Re: R1100S screens
Can't say I know what a 'split' one is, but this is what's fitted to my bike... The original is in front of the new one for comparison.
Any more info needed, let me know.
And yes, if you wanted it I'd even remove the bugs.

Re: R1100S screens
I've got a taller MRA one with the little lip, and it does make it better, but as others have said, it doesn't 'fix' it, it is after all, a sports bike.
But it did make a big difference with the erm, *cough* vibrating helmet...
Incidentally, might be selling it too, as I bought the screen to better ...

Re: Front brake hose - issue ? - barback length / supplier ?
Now that I think about it, I think mine was "de-abs'ed" and I think that was the issue... The set up they had was for the non abs version.

Re: Front brake hose - issue ? - barback length / supplier ?
I didn't know (and apparently neither did they) that there was a different style front caliper fitted at some point (I'm sure people here more knowledgeable than I will clarify) but they supplied banjos to suit the 'other' type (probably older, maybe abs?).
I sent them pictures as I couldn't make ...

Another vote for Venhill.
I asked for a standard set to suit, but 1.5 inches longer, and they supplied perfectly. Except that the banjo bolts were the wrong type, but they replaced them free of charge.
Superb service. Will happily use them again.

Re: 20/50oil
Chaps...
Might be a stupid question, but should I be using a bike specific oil in my r11s? I'm guessing being dry clutch, normal car stuff would also do?
I have some 15/40 left over from my car, any reason not to use that??
Ta.

Re: R1100s Sat Nav mount
Thanks for the inspiration!
I finally managed to get the bars above the yokes after the longer pipes arrived...
And also wanted to somewhere to mount phone and camera, so did something similar, if less neat!
Bought 22mm ali bar, cut to length, and cut notches to both ends to flatten it out, drilled ...

Yes, It's for comfort
At least it certainly will be for me... I'm to old for all that weight on the wrists!

Re: Comfort bars..> Moving then above the triple clamp
I've mailed venhill to ask about the pipes today, so looks like I'm sorted on that.
However first time I've seen the offer of the clamps, and looks like I missed out...
Thanks anyway...

Re: Comfort bars..> Moving then above the triple clamp
This sounds like a plan, as the pipes I'd seen so far were pretty pricey... a front set of HEL hoses for 60 would be more acceptable... And the clamps, are these just to hold the pipes in place I presume?

Re: Comfort bars..> Moving then above the triple clamp
Hmm... this seems to be a sensible idea.
However, I will still hold off in the hope someone knows exactly how long it is, exactly where to order one from, and shows me how to do so without paying anything for it.
Easy right?

Comfort bars..> Moving then above the triple clamp
Second in the stream of questions...
I've seen it discussed in a number of place as well as here, moving the bars above the TC to relieve some wrist strain.
Easy enough, right? Not if you have a non abs bike from 2001, like me. It seems I need a longer front brake hose...
I can't find out how long ...
