Re: Hello from the north west
Well with the great weather over the weekend I had the perfect opportunity to finally put a few miles on my new RS. I live in Liverpool but most of my family are based in and around the kent / surrey border within a few miles of junction 6 of the m25, which means about a 240 mile journey each way wh...

Re: Hello from the north west
Steve re: Welsh w/e. Have you got a route sorted for the Saturday yet? Can't make the venue for stop overs but would like to meet up somewhere 'en route' and tag along if possible. Ben no problems meeting up just send me a p.m. and we can sort out a meet point. Bob Couple of weeks time soon as the ...

Re: Hello from the north west
So I've had the bike for almost a week now, it was delivered last Thursday evening. I've only managed to put about 150 miles on it last weekend but I hope to get a few more on it this weekend weather permitting. So far its a real eye opener. Head and shoulders above my previous bike. Stand outs for ...

Re: Hello from the north west
Hi Ben, also not too far away from you just outside Chester (but in Wales). Bought my R1200RS in November 2015 after ten years of ownership of a K1200S on an 05 plate (one of the first in the UK). Loved the K and in all the ten years+ that I had it nothing ever went wrong with it unlike quite a few...

Re: Hello from the north west
Hello and welcome, there's one or two wc's on the forum so a little bit of "knowledge" should be available, and there's a couple of reprobates (ahem Trixters) from your neck of the woods, so if you fancy a pre summer holiday weekend away how about the meeting at Cricceith this April. A go...

Hello from the north west
Hello all, I've posted elsewhere about my recent test ride (and subsequent purchase of) an R1200RS so thought id just say Hi to everyone. I'm Ben and I live in the North West on the outskirts of Liverpool. I've been into bikes since early teens (my dad was / still is a biker) and I started with a fe...

Re: afternoon all
Quick update for you all, On Monday afternoon I had a 40 min test ride of the R1200RS, I didn't really push it as I was riding a new bike on roads I didn't know and also I've not ridden a bike at all over the winter so was concerned about being slightly rusty myself. However within a few minutes of ...

Re: No Moto GP Highlights on ITV4
I don't have BT sport anymore (changed from virgin to sky recently) so whats the best way to view Moto GP now? Ive firestick with Kodi on it so I guess that's an option but no way to record and watch it at my leisure.
Can you buy a season long moto gp pass to watch it on line? Anyone done it?

Re: afternoon all
Thanks Steve too, after the bandit any dash with more than revs and mph will feel a bit alien for a while. I'm really looking forward to getting to grips with a the big twin though and hope it suits me.

Re: afternoon all
Thanks for the info Paul I will bear your observations in mind when Im testing it. The one I'm looking at had panniers but no top box, which I'm not sure I'd use much anyways.
