Re: Welsh Weekend 2018
Hi, been there this year with Horizon Unlimited meet. Hotel is good, but you get what you pay for. Some rooms are basic, but this reflects in price. Beautiful surrounding areas. They have several meeting rooms, so if somebody want to do a presentation it's ideal for this sort of thing. I would certa...

Well, my magic hasn't worked. I need to tap the end cap of the main housing for the starter to spin. Without the lights go dim and nothing happens.Battery has 13.80 volts. If she does turn she doesn't spin very fast, but turns engine over. Will come off tomorrow again and having a look. :( :x...

Yes, finally yesterday I've stripped the starter and found the retention plate touching armature winding and shorting out (burning small holes into plate). Damage wasn't bad on winding and retention blade ( after 4-5 failure symthons on start up ). I've managed to put retention plate back in the hou...

Re: Tail trim query for r11s fairing (rear)
Hi, I cannot upload the pictures ( file too large ) but I can answer your questions as follow. - black rim is screwed with 2x bolts to rear panel - also heat formed in 3x places to rear panel You should be able to removed the black rim from the original panel carefully and screw and glue onto new re...

Well, I've followed this thread and guess what happened today? Same thing, would turn over and all cockpit lights are flickering indicating flat battery. Tried a couple more times and she started without hesitation. Thanks for the good advise in above communications. Will take mine off and investiga...

Re: 03' R1100S green fuel light permanently on !
Well,
I've had 161 miles when I run out of fuel.
Will check the connections on the sender unit first before I strip everything down.
How easy is it to replace the sender unit ?

03' R1100S green fuel light permanently on !
Hi,
another gremlin with the cockpit as I broke down with no fuel.
Fuel light is green and doesn't change when tank is full or empty.
Any ideas what to look for?

Re: R1100S rev counter working intermittantly
So, finally got around investigating. All wiring OK and checked with multimeter. Found the top left pin broken in blue connector ( not three as previously mentioned ). Re: R1100S rev counter working intermittantly
Hi, unfortunately this weekend I was bad and couldn't do a lot. Investigated further around wiring loom and found some repaired sections in areas near the sub frame. So, there must have been a problem before. I've looked closer into the blue multi pin plug and found another 2 pins corroded and short...

Re: R1100S rev counter working intermittantly
Hi, yes, I've found the connector pins corroded and one - top left - missing ! It's on the big blue connection in the relay box. It's the red/white wire. I will bypass the one and see what happens. I think the other two next to the broken one are corroded badly and I cannot clean them. Will bypass w...
