Re: The wanderer returns

The 42mmm race exhaust gives 97BHP at the back wheel.
Exceptionally well mannered on the road and deceptively quick 8)

The wanderer returns

Hi All
Been about 10 years since I've been gone.
Still got my 04 BCR it now has an Ohlin read shock and a Wilbers front.
Transformed the handling.
Fitted standard S wing mirrors offer the look.

What were talking about is a Traillie V a Sports tourer You guys all obviously have the experience, and I'm very grateful for all your replies - all I can do for now is read them and magazine/web articles. But all I've read about the 1150GS so far largely discounts the 1150GS as a real "traill...

Hi Mark Sorry to go off track,Imho you need to ride the shortlist back to back as close to each other as poss. in the past Ive demo'd a bike and then rode to the next demo on the demo to get the same roads etc. When I was looking for a Sports tourer I rode the 1100s/VFR/SPRINT/TIGER I then went to V...

Hi Gromit It was a go on my mates 1150ADV they gave me the bug for the GS having said that I thought it was soft until I jacked the preload to max then it was thunder birds are go. I found the 1150 has more low down grunt the the 1200 but I prefer the looks of the 06/07 ADV. Ian. Agree - the GS is ...

Hi Gromit
Imho there is no comparison between the GS/GSA there like chalk and cheese I nearly went for a GS until I tried the GSA demo bike theres a big difference.
Cant really explain what and why but it is.

Hi Mark Sorry Gromit have to disagree on the high speed having just purchased a GS 1200 ADV long distance at speed the GSA is bliss compared to the BCR theres no comparison with the screen on the GS. If anything Im quicker on the GS just because it soaks up road imperfections so much better, yes ther...

I think its one of the best bikes to make IL4 riders vomit in their helmets when they cant keep up through the twisties 2 up its the only bike except perhaps the GS ADV that carrying the misses makes no noticable difference to the handling. As for depreciation apart from Duc 888 ive never owned a bi...

Just bought a 07 1200 GSA knocks spots off the BCR if you want comfort and distance this is the only way to go wish I tried this before buying the BCR although it did fall out of a bloody big ugly tree. ian I've got both, and love both of them. Sure the Adv carries more, further - but we'd all be d...
