R1200S 2006 For Sale
Apologies for the cluttered background as this is a bit of a knee-jerk advert. Just returned from from a ride out where I happened to find myself drooling over a Ducati Scrambler in the dealer and just wouldn't be doing myself a service if I didn't make a snap decision to sell my 1200 and buy said S...

Cycling - Word of Warning.
I confess to being a very occasional motorcyclist these days, hate getting it filthy and having to spend hours cleaning it. Started cycling to work last year, then found myself popping out in the evenings, then the weekends, then with groups, then with clubs. Started on an old mountain bike and now ...

Having just bought one I can certainly add my own opinion. I would have gone for a good owner-maintained bike at a good price, a local dealer bike or a national dealer bike with BMW warranty. We don't have the luxury of choice with the R1200S I bought the 6th bike I looked at which just happened to ...

Re: Saw my first R1200s in the flesh today
As I've never seen or sat on one I popped over to Kawasaki in Brum to look at a sport model with 24k on the clock. Definitely like the R12, but the specimen they had was very shabby and not been looked after. Screen was so scratched it looked like it had been cleaned with a brillo pad, all the bolt...

Having got together a nice budget for a new bike I'm having a dilemma in deciding whether to get an S4R Ducati, I've always had Ducatis, or a R1200S. Popped over to Gloucester at the weekend to see what £5.5k gets me in a dealer and can only say I was very disappointed. Rusty nuts, fuzzy casings, sc...
