Pannier Rails
I put my pannier rails on the 1100S tonight. Am I correct in saying that the heat shield (the one on the bracket) does not fit with the pannier rails? I did try but it did seem it wouldnt fit. The instructions are a little vague - just say 'remove and put to one side' Thanks for any input, Lloyd.

Quick lock
I have been looking at these as well.
The only problem is the tank ring is slightly offset. That said yes it is possible. You need to order the tank adaptor for the BMW 6 screw tank ring. Then just choose your bag.
I have just ordered mine, with one of the micro bags.

Thanks for the compliments. The heads are chromed and look excellent in the flesh! I did actually go for a ride - only about 20 miles but enough to warm her her up properly. The belly pan was on the bike when I got it - it looks good and the fit is excellent. Is it off a Yamaha - I have no idea. Llo...

Just about to order the longer lines, but what about the clutch line, does that need a longer line as well? I am going to replace all the front brake hoses whilst the system is empty.
Thanks

Hella connection
The photos werent clear so I went to Maplins today and bought the Hella connector. Its the correct one - thanks, although I was sure the one on my GS was bigger, must be an old-age thing! I want to attach it to my Optimate, but need to know how to identify which of the optimate leads is positive. I ...

How difficult is it to replace the hoses on the R1100S?
I assume whilst the system is empty you should do all of the front hoses, not just the upper ones?
Thanks
Lloyd.

Thanks for the replies.
Its a non-ABS bike so I might have to use longer lines, I will try the top yoke route first - let you know how I get on,
Lloyd.

Its not a problem at the moment but I have a feeling I will need to be a little higher at the front end. (57 next week!) So my question is, were heli bars ever made for the R1100S?, do they make a diffe...
