R1100S Extended range fuel tank SOLD
The tank has been increased in size to hold 22 ltrs which gets me well over 215 miles. I've been using the tank for 5 years and it's been superb. It will ONLY fit non-abs models and you'll probably need to replace your battery with one which has the same dimensions or smaller of an Odessey 545. (Wit...

Symptom is that the starter is sluggish and has difficultly throwing the engine over, just like having a flat battery. I've had to bump start a couple of times. I've checked battery (which is only a few months old) and is giving 13.8 volts and I've also looked at the starter switch which is not faul...

R1100S starter motor.
Oddly after 6790 miles my starter motor seems to be on the way out. Is this usual for this mileage? Any recommendations on whether I should use a BMW replacement or another type/supplier. I see there are a number of different manfacturers and suppliers at various prices on Ebay. Thanks for any advic...

If you are referring to BMW (not GIVI) side mounting rails for their panniers I don't think you have to take any of the plastics off. I've just fitted mine and I didn't, it is fairly obvious where/how they fit. The only thing I struggled with is whether the small heat shield stays fitted. Mine would...

R1100S airbox
Does anyone know if this comes apart (in half). Mine's full of old oil and crud and I want to clean it inside which would be easier if it was in half. I don't know if it comes apart easily along the split line and didn't want to start forcing it.
Thanks.
Kieron.
