Symptom is that the starter is sluggish and has difficultly throwing the engine over, just like having a flat battery. I've had to bump start a couple of times. Does anyone know if this comes apart (in half). Mine's full of old oil and crud and I want to clean it inside which would be easier if it was in half. I don't know if it comes apart easily along the split line and didn't want to start forcing it.
