Why wasn't he wearing gloves? Why didn't he take evasive action? Why are these people allowed out with cameras?

Thanks for that, useful to know. As it was I had to get the Haynes manual out to help the RAC guy get the bodywork off to disconnect the fuel pump.

In further news it now seems the battery needs replacing too! Still it saves me the hassle of stripping the bike down to do it. Always look on the ...

I've managed to break it

First decent day's weather yesterday, so I thought I'd ride into work. Roll the 11S out and thumb the . Oh dear, this is not good.Battery needs a charge.
Left the bike on the charger overnight and try again this morning. Plenty of cranking but still no go.
Time to make use of that RAC membership ...

Just a quick note on the Vanderline system. My bike had one fitted when I bought it and at the MoT a couple of months ago I got an advisory because of the volume.

Excellent service from Cooper BMW Tunbridge Wells

Picture the scene - I get a phone call at work from a collegue who has popped outside fro a cigarette asking why my bike is laying on its side?

I go out to the car park outside where I work and sure enough my bike is on its side. This despite the fact I left it on the centre stand and the stand was ...

On my previous bike, A V-Strom 650, I went from PR2 to PR3 and the handling improved imensely. I had much greater confidence going into the corners. Strangely they even felt good as soon as I rode out of the tyre fitter's place.
No idea what they'll be like on a R11S though, as I'm currently ...

Well I've gone and done it and now have a R1100S Sport parked in the garage.

It's a 2000 model with 31,000 on the clock. Extras that have been fitted by previous owners include full Vanderline stainless steel exhaust, comfort bars, tall screen, carbon fibre hugger, gel seat, BMW luggage and a Givi ...

Selling a bike in the UK to someone in Northern Ireland

Okay as the title says - Selling a bike in the UK to someone in Northern Ireland. I've had an offer from someone in Northern Ireland for my V-Strom (which is getting sold to make way for a R1100S) they want to know how I'd like to get paid and then they'll arrange collection of the bike.
Now ...

Well I've gone and done it - a deposit has been put down. Just need to shift my V-Strom 650 now in order to cover the cost of the R1100S.

For those that are interested, if that's any of you, my R11S will be a 2000 Sport with 30,000 on the clock. It also has a Vanderline exhaust and chip, comfort ...

I'd suggest the company's head office and have a rant at them.

I regularly use a Tesco petrol station (it's the cheap place for petrol where I live) and have only once been asked to remove my helmet. The stupid thing is I had already paid and was onmy way out...
