A picture of the filter remains may help. The problem is the sticking of the rubber against metal. I wouldn't like to grind anything so close to the oil ways but if you can separate the rim of the flange or pull it away from the mating face I am sure you will find the rest will be free to turn. Good...

These are £250 new and as you can see this is in nearly new condition. £100 seems a wise investment to protect a £600 ohlins shock. plus it keeps the rest of the bike clean too.

I will be trading the bike in next Thursday unless there is any interest.

I have dropped the asking price to £5,000 but the could be room for a bit of bargaining.

Be quick if your interested as the deal will have to be done by Thursday.

Not had mine on a dyno but is this something to do with not firing both plugs all the time. This could make sense if you are connecting to the lower plug but the centre plug should fire all the time.

Just checked mine and it has a couple of obvious cracks and lots of little ones. According to oem mine was built 08/2006. Be interesting to see if it gets a new part or just the bodge job clamp.

I used screwfix plastikote hot paint on my front cover. You have to get it hot soon after painting otherwise it stays like a powder and rubs off. Once it cures it stays on well and stands up to cow shit and mud. As with all spray paints, plenty of light coats rather than on thick one.

My 1100s did something similar. I noticed that the power came and went as I turned the bars. I found that the power cable to the ignition switch had broken. There is a small grub screw that holds the switch to the bottom of the key barrel. It was dead easy to solder the wire back on the switch and a...
