I've used triple S to do a few bits of mine and they do an excellent job. They do a better job than I could ever do. It was actually cheaper for them to coat the calipers I had done than to buy a tin of paint!

The S will manage it no problems and I doubt it would be a wreck by the time you got back. Get it serviced and new tyres etc and you'll have loads of fun with it. I do agree with Tapio as well though. I got rid of my S for a K100RT a few months back and touring on it is much easier. It is the only b...

The seat in the link was my old seat. Much more comfortable than standard and you didn't slide around on it. Having it done like that was £80. I also had the seat for my K100RT done and that is much more comfortable than standard. I did over 350 miles on it last Sunday and felt pretty good afterward...

I had techspec tank pads on mine and a recovered seat. The original seat is useless.

£200 a pop for genuine BMW discs.

£100 each for brembo ones which seemed to be identical to me.

Honda should have nailed it with the CBF 125. I actually bought mine in January 2009 to have delivered in march 2009 for the total of £1800 for a brand new bike. The bloke in the dealers at the time said they'd sold loads of them in the few months it'd been out and that he thought they would increas...

I've ridden bikes with both brembo stamped calipers and BMW stamped calipers. I thought the brembo stamped calipers felt like they were stronger but the BMW stamped calipers were much more progressive and not as grabby, I suppose it depends what you want.

2 weeks ago I bought an 86 K100RT that hasn't been dealer serviced for nearly 20 years. What it does have is a record of what has been done and when including what was used and receipts. That's was much more reassuring to me compared to stamps in the book. I know it's an old bike and so wouldn't exp...

Wouldn't bother either. You obviously didn't notice it not working! Keep the cash for petrol!

I've just sold 2 11S's one on Saturday and one about 30 minutes ago so there's potentially 2 more members there.

I've gone to the other side with a K100RT now but I still find myself on here and I bet there's a few on here that have had K bikes so I can still ask questions.

My 11S made no difference with higher octane stuff.

I've been advised by the previous owner of the K100 I've just bought to use the higher octane stuff in that as there is less ethanol than normal petrol and the ethanol knackers all the seals.

It's alright saying you can manage that but try telling the Mrs!

Hoping the K100RT I've just bought will have enough room!

Thanks for that, well I put the white one on eBay starting at a grand with a buy it now of 2200. It's already been bid on so I think there will be enough interest in it. The other bike I will get ready for sale this weekend but didn't realise it would be worth as much as that! I think I'll set that ...
