will get some photos on Friday when I pick it up, and take it to get MOT etc..... also got a CB-1 400cc to go as well, but this probably isn't the place for that :lol: think I will get some photos, sort a 'for sale' for bike as is.... and give it a week, or so.... if no luck then start looking to se...

when I sold my slingshot gsxr years ago, all the bits on it, sort of sold it... but these are a little more erm...acquired (?) I think.... so wasn't sure whether it would go as is

selling my bike :-(

So the time has come to sell up..... I have owned my bike, a 1999 mandarin since 2002... and it doesn't get used and I now I need the space etc etc but it has some goodies on it.... now I'm not posting here to start a frenzy, I just wanted advice.... is it worth selling as is, or am I better off pic...

I pay about £160 fully comp on the bike......

and was quoted £1450 on my van :shock:

it was cheaper to buy another van... and put all 3 on a fleet policy! :?

It's the belt from the crank pulley to the alternator, which is on top of the engine.

I am no where near replacing mine, but I believe the early belts were quite low service intervals, but you can fit a long life belt, and pulleys.

But I'd get that confirmed.

got mine finished today.... all back together on thursday... except the swingarm and paralever tightening (and the back wheel) Mate was back today after his week off... so he set these up for me... nothing to it though... i was just a wooz!! :oops: put the back wheel in... greased the nuts and tight...

thats a nice thought Jason.... my bikes better than yours etc, erm... yes I took all the bits back to motorworks today, I was in the area... ahem!! And picked up a driveshaft.... you can see a section of rubber in between the shafts.... I'll get a photo later. They said the shaft was 'S' specific.. ...

Hi Jason, with shaft attached and bike in gear, if I grab bevel box end of shaft I can rotate shaft, if I grab gearbox end its solid.... I even wedged a screwdriver into UJ to see if I could make it spin... and its solid until it turns engine.... I'm sure that box hasn't failed 'cos I would have sti...

Well started stripping the bike down this evening, got pipes, subframe, bodywork, tank, and then started on the transmission.... got the swingarm bolts (plugs?) out and slid the bevel box and shaft housing off.... and the stink!! the shaft seems to have a cush drive in it and that has died! It stink...
