Most service providers kill a phone number if a chargeable call isn't made after 6 months or so. *#06# will give the IMEI of the phone but not the number on the SIM.

Thanks for that timbox2, but I've been too busy playing with my new R1200R!!!

I filled it up with fresh fuel yesterday and I can't give it too much as the clutch is starting to slip.

stutter

Greetings I haven't used my R11s much in the last 2 months and when I did yesterday I noticed it had developed a occasional stutter or hic-cup when on idle, just a drop of revs for a split second but enough to stall it if I wasn't quick enough to catch it. No problem once on the move just annoying i...

He would certainly show a lot of modern sports bike riders a thing or two. I guess the few times he crossed the central white line could be excused as it was the safest line and there was no traffic to worry about.

If the ones listed are the only options I'd stick with the BMW. I had an F800s and know the engine is excellent. Being a parallel twin it's a bit buzzy but revs well and had enough power for me. BUT I'd go with everyone else and recommend a R1200R. (I've just bought one!!!) You're already familiar w...

The seller should really be looking for someone with 2x right boots, he must be out there somewhere.

I did try the wiggle test but it was the actual switch that was causing the problem.

All fixed. Turns out to have been the ignition switch. Although it did confuse the mechanic as he said when he put his volt meter thingey across it it showed it was OK but obviously wasn't. He put a new switch in and replaced part of the surrounding loom. Thanks for your advice, excellent as ever.

I've checked the voltage coming off the battery and it's 12.39v. No relays click or fuel pump primes when switched on. The small circlip that holds the side stand switch onto the side stand pivot had come off but the switch and washer hadn't, but were just loose. I've removed it all and put it back ...

Thanks guys, plenty to look for but I may take the easy route and get the bike recovered to my little local BMW mechanic. I'm coming back out here in less than 2 weeks and although the K75 made it I'd rather do it in comfort on the R.
