Seat fitment R1200s

Can someone please enlighten me regards if the riders seat fits the same way on all model years for 12s. I've checked the part no. and it appears to be the same for all years, Europe and USA. Was hoping to get a Corbin seat but they say their seat fits model years 2007/2008, my bike is 2006. I've ph...

Exhaust de-cat R1200s

Has anyone removed the catalitic converter from the standard exhaust system on a 12s? As in just the contents, leaving the exhaust with the looks of the standard exhaust with a void where the cat contents were!! If so was there any benefits? My bike has the Remus silencer, so was wondering best way ...

Would say that the white line issue is more likely the bike than the tyres as my 90/s gives a little shake over lines too! and just don't even think about trying to shut the throttle mid corner!!!!!! I know you shouldn't anyway but enthusiasm occasionally can get the upperhand  Paralever front...

Rider footpegs

Has anyone used footpeg lowering kits on the R1200s, and what difference did they make? I've just had right knee replacement and at the moment (6 weeks post op) can only just get my heel onto right peg! Don't want to consider getting rid of bike so need to explore ways to get foot on peg. Cheers guys.

Indeed, the question was asked at the local dealers re bikes from that era, the answer was "no not common, we had maybe 5 or 6 bikes in this branch!" My local independant has done a couple of 12GS's that had same prob, they were both RHS too, and the distruction happened at lot lower RPM s...

R12s Exhaust valves!

Has anyone else had the exhaust valves heads part company with the stems? My 06 12s disgraced itself while I was performing an overtake, 3rd gear approx 7000rpm. Loss of power, lots and lots of oil smoke out of exhaust, then relay home!!! O/s head, barrel, piston, exhaust and inlet valves, exhaust v...

Re reroute of ABS to non ABS, why pay main dealers prices, my local independant could collect and repair at a fair price I'm sure. Know he's done same job b4!
Don't want to get into trouble so won't post his contact details, but happy to pass them on.
He's not too far from Bahnstormers either!!
