I've just been to see the bike & it does not look too bad, broken RH FR indicator pod, head cover, exhaust, instrument panel support, & part of the frame ground down a bit (it's the frame damage that will write it off I think) I'll go back in the morning to remove the pannier rails & han...

Bike about to be written off

I was knocked off this morning (half way through a overtake of two cars, when the car in front also tried to overtake) Nothing broken, (me) but the garage has phoned - estimate for repair £3,000, the question is do I accept the first offer from the insurance, or should I be looking at the replacemen...

No need to remove the top yoke, If you loosen the clamp bolts the fork slider will slide down, it's just a guide tube - no spring in it.

Zach pipe - ordering direct?

Has anyone ordered a pipe direct from zach, they are £175.00 on their website.
Also if you fit the pipe, does it make any difference to your insurance? has anyone been asked for more money? :(

Sounds like my RH FR disk, I replaced the large washers, as the disk rattled. I also fitted new bolts, but there is still some movement, so I think the holes in the disk must also be worn. £20.00 for bolts & large washers.

I've just been to my local BMW dealer, to ask if they had anything & they produced a black plastic plug. It pushed into the hole, seems secure & looks like a black cap in the wheel centre - total price? £3.21 :D Part number MC36.31.7.665.843 I have a photo if anyone wants to give me your email

Thanks, I was going to grease the bolts & drive flange, but the repair manual says the bolts must be 'free of grease & oil'
I wonder if I could fit another bolt in the hole with a nut on the other side?

Rear wheel plug?

I need to plug the hole in the centre of the rear wheel, I've just had a new tyre fitted & it looks like water has got behind the the wheel, it had gone a bit rusty/fuzzy, so the wheel would not come off.
What is the cheapest option?

Can some one recommend a tyre dealer in the Nottingham/Derby area, as I need a pair of 020's, I have managed to get nearly 6k out of the last pair - must be riding too slow :)
