If I have a (very) slight criticism of the Telferizer mount, it's that it can come loose. It could do with a couple of flats milling on to it so you could get a spanner on it to tighten it. Had considered putting a drop of lock tight on the threads, but was concerned that I then might not get it off ...

You could try searching for a full replacement rear led lamp unit likethe one I have, which already has the resistor built in. More expensive, but the whole thing looks great and offers more light output.

Nik, can't tell you whether you need to remove the bodywork or not, but it's not a big deal. The bolts under the fairing are the most difficult to get at, but it's a piece of cake, and when you done it once, it will hold no fears.
