I didn't for simple reason, 4000 is were the TUV emissions are done,most bikes have a blip around that mark,probably nowhere as noticable with a 150hp motor.

Digressing slightly, as part of my ongoing 12K service I decided to change the fuel filter. Not due till 24K I know but decided to change it all the same.

My understanding with the standard K&N is that the filter element does flow better than the OE one, but the plastic surround is (unnecessarily?) bigger so the actual cross sectional area being used by the air is smaller.
