Pulling the clutch is what I did and on several occasions this enabled me to start the bike.... but not anymore...

The gear indicator on my R1200S seems to be 'out of sync' every now and then. Meaning: it does indicate the wrong gear or even nothing at all. The engine refuses to start when it indicates anything else then Neutral. Some hassling with the gear lever does give me a 'N' indication so I'm able to star...

Had my R1200S on a Dynostar testbench yesterday. I was a bit surprised to see a healthy 124,5 HP and 124 Nm appearing. The bike is one year old, 16000 mls on it, and has a Zard muffler. Well .... let's just say that the last European manufacturer who tried to beat the Japs at their own game ..... lost (Triumph TT600).... they learned from that experience. You could paint that bike in white+blue and call it Suzuki, or in white+red and call it Yamaha, or mean grean and say it's a Kaw...
